The Head of IT will be responsible for overseeing the IT strategy, infrastructure, and operations to support the company’s objectives. This role involves managing IT systems, ensuring cybersecurity, and driving innovation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic IT Leadership:
– Formulate and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s growth and operational goals, focusing on both short-term and long-term objectives.
– Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance the customer experience and streamline operations, including online ordering, delivery systems, and loyalty programs.
2. Team Management and Development:
– Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team. Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
– Set clear objectives for team members, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
3. Infrastructure and Operations Management:
– Oversight: Ensure the IT infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure, with a focus on the high availability and performance of systems.
– Implement best practices for IT operations, including incident management, change management, and service delivery.
4. Cybersecurity and Compliance:
– Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect sensitive data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
5. Technology Evaluation and Implementation:
– Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on business operations and customer engagement.
– Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
6. Vendor and Budget Management:
– Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and effective negotiation of contracts.
– Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
7. Collaboration with Business Units:
– Work closely with various departments (e.g., operations, marketing, finance) to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions.
– Engagement: Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders to report on IT initiatives, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
– 15+ years of work experience.
– Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud computing, and application development, particularly in point-of-sale and mobile technologies.
– Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
